PHew! That was a sigh of relieve:) I was expecting the worst for the pricing of the Smart Tunnel Toll. For those who had missed it, when asked previously ask about the pricing of the toll our dear Works Minister Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu actually replied “Memang Mahal!” And that was worrying, because even when dear YB thinks it's cheap, IT's NOT.
However, when dear Samy actually annouced that the users of the Stormwater Management and Road Tunnel (Smart) will be charged a RM2 toll June 14 onwards, I actually think that is a FAIR PRICE. This is considering the fact that it cost RM640 million to build and it really cuts down my travelling town into KL.
A normal minimum 45 miniutes drive, with slightly heavy traffic to KLCC now takes less than 15. And if you are paid by the hour like myself, that is LOTS of MONEY. Not to mention, even if you have got LOADS OF MONEY, you cant buy it back.
So, well done SAMY and those involve in the SMART TUNNEL!
