Ok a bit about my dear old friend Yeo Yann Yann.
I was in Singapore for a day trip a while ago. Despite being a packed day and Yann Yann having a notoriously busy schedule, we managed to catch up at Paragon's Din Tai Fung (Voted as one of the Top 10 Gourmet Restaurants in the World).
I first met Yann Yann, when i was still a young apprentice. She was already a star and nice enough to acknowledge the boy that carries the light. apart from her charming personality, I remember our first encounter when she had to pronounced products as PRA-DUCKS for a advertisement.
Today she is one of the leading and most respected actress in Singapore. And we should be so proud, because she is a MALAYSIAN!
Yann Yann with specially autographed DVD of acclaimed Singapore Dreaming and 881.
She has also starred in quite a few films. Among them as one half of the Papaya Sisters (the one that did not die) in the film
881. Directed by Award winning director – Royston Tan and grossing over SGD 3 million, was the top grossing Asian film in Singapore in 2007. The film also featured two other Malaysian, Twins Teh Choy Wan & Teh May Wan as Durian Sisters. She is also in Malaysia's own acclaimed director –
Yasmin Ahmad's Muallaf. We will also get to see her in Ho Yuhang's upcoming project.Best regards,
