HOPE FOR OUR CHILDREN
National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM) launches campaign on paediatric cancer supported by Courts Malaysia
Did you know in Malaysia, over 10 per cent of all new cancers were childhood cancers and there were over 1,500 children getting cancer every year?
As part of the campaign outreach efforts, I am priviledged to be roped in NCSM and Courts to create portraits of the beautiful moments shared between the cancer survivors and their family members. Shooting the campaign was a real humbling experience for me. It is so inspiring to see the courage of the cancer survior in their fight against the Big-C. So stay tune for my thought captured on video about shooting the campaign.
“Many people associate the diagnosis of cancer as the end of life’s journey but these images portrays otherwise and if one adopts a healthy lifestyle, it is preventable. Even for individuals who are diagnosed with cancer, there is a high rate of survival when it is detected early. The cancer survivors depicted in these images are a testament of that,” added Dr Saunthari.
