Who is Alex Moh?

Recently, I am so thrilled when Alex Moh, the reknowned photography teacher accepted KIDCHANSTUDIO's invitation to hold a 8 sessions photography course entitled "Taking Better Photos for Beginners by Alex Moh & Kid Chan".
I first heard about Alex Moh through the teaching gallery -Silver Gelatin he founded with two friends. A member of the Royal Photography Society of Great Britain was a self taught photographer, his great passion for the art and craft of making and printing photographs in black and white prints is well known within the photography circles.
After attending a few of his joint photography exhibition, along other black & white greats such as Lim Hock Seng and the legendary Eric Peris- it is almost impossible to fall in love with his work
Alex also curates and coordinates photography projects and is actively known in the local photography fraternity. He has vast experiences in teaching and presides over photographic organizations and is responsible for spearheading the Kuala Lumpur International Photography Biennale (KLiP). He has exhibited in numerous photography exhibitions and festivals in Malaysia and abroad. He also works a Guest Curator for the National Art Gallery Malaysia.
It was here, that i finally get to know the man better when he invited me to exhibit in National Art Gallery for one of his shows. My first impression was that he is a very willing and talented teacher (the impression that still hold until today).
To me, Alex is a true to be a educator and not and an academician. The difference? An educator will simplify something complex for his students, while the later will tend to make it MORE complex. His legion of graduates since 1999, would testify to it.
Taking Better Photos for Beginners by Alex Moh & Kid Chan is a part time course and limited to 10 Person only and is priced at RM900. It will be held over 3 weeks, beginning Mid-july at KIDCHANSTUDIO in Bangsar.
The course will be conducted by Alex, with assistance from yours truly especially during the Field Trip modules.
