I’ve always admire the talent of Kid Chan, my ultimate dream is to be able to be a wedding photographer some day. Though what I’m going to pursue is faraway from being a wedding photographer, but I plan to retire young, and soon after I’m financially secured, being a wedding photographer is what I’m going to do. Anyway, Kid Chan, if you are reading this, give me some guidance how to be like you. What does it takes to be in that career and what do I need as in skills and etc? My father don’t own a photoshop like my best friend does, so hopefully, one day, I could open up a company specialising in wedding stuff. It’s nice to see 2 people tying their knots together. I’ve got it in my head. Anyway, Kid Chan started his own website with his own domain. Nice one with his best work and stuff about him. I also totally agree that you have you be first financially secure, cause they is just not much money in it. The rewards are mostly not tangible, new friends and many happy memories! Sometimes many people just take the blind leap of faith, and when the rubber meets the road the lose their passion. That's really sad. The Quarter-Life Crisis
Dear All, Have pass my Quarter Life Mark fora couple of years now (assuming i live to 100), and still have came out of what is known as the "Quarter Life Crisis". The Quarter-Life Crisis by Bella Della Cassa It is when you stop going along with the crowd and start realizing that there are a lot of things about yourself that you didn't know and may or may not like. You start feeling insecure and wonder where you will be in a year or two, but then get scared because you barely know where you are now. You start realizing that people are selfish and that, maybe, those friends that you thought you were so close to aren't exactly the greatest people you have ever met and the people you have lost touch with are some of the most important ones. What you do not realize is that they are realizing that too and are not really cold or catty or mean or insincere, but that they are as confused as you. You look at your job. It is not even close to what you thought you would be doing or maybe you are looking for one and realizing that you are going to have to start at the bottom and are scared. You miss the comforts of college, of groups, of socializing with the same people on a constant basis. But then you realize that maybe they weren't so great after all. You are beginning to understand yourself and what you want and do not want. Your opinions have gotten stronger. You see what others are doing and find yourself judging a bit more than usual because suddenly you realize that you have certain boundaries in your life and add things to your list of what is acceptable and what is not. You are insecure and then secure. You laugh and cry with the greatest force of your life. You feel alone and scared and confused. Suddenly change is the enemy and you try and cling on to the past with dear life but soon realize that the past is drifting further and further away and there is nothing to do but stay where you are or move forward. You get your heart broken and wonder how someone you loved could do such damage to you or you lay in bed and wonder why you can't meet anyone decent enough to get to know better. You love someone but maybe love someone else too and cannot figure out why you are doing this because you are not a bad person. One night stands and random hook ups start to look cheap and getting wasted and acting like an idiot starts to look pathetic. You go through the same emotions and questions over and over and talk with your friends about the same topics because you cannot seem to make a decision. You worry about loans and money and the future and making a life for yourself and while wining the race would be great, right now you'd just like to be a contender! What you may not realize is that everyone reading this relates to it. We are in our best of times and our worst of times, trying as hard as we can to figure this whole thing out. -End- Comments anyone? WEIRD! REALLY WEIRD...Prt 2
"The thing is that i never get asked by those who is close or around me to do their weddings." Well, the thought about the thought. Not entirely true.Over the years, many good friends from Secondary School, Sekolah Sri Cempaka & their family has asked me to capture their wedding. This also includes & family & friends of clients who became friends( CBF) . The following is by no means an exhaustive list:  A scene from Feizal & Sabrina's Akad A scene from Wai Yeng & Kian Onn's Reception A scene from Jency & Fraymond's Tea CeremonyChris (SSC) & Charlotte , Faizal (Perth) & Sabrina, Karina (SSC) & Sean, Ozi (SSC) & Azrini , Rizal & Rini (SSC) , Wai Yeng (SSC) & Kian Onn, Raja Zaireen (SSC) & Joe , Jency & Fraymond (SSC) , Yazeed (CBF) & Tengku Nadya and ALL their cousins, hmmph......the list actually goes on quite long! WEIRD! REALLY WEIRD...
Tonight I saw a friend's photo online (which btw was quite nice). Although we never really talk much after High School, i would regard her as a dear friend. Then I realized something WEIRD! REALLY WEIRD..... The thing is that i never get asked by those who is close or around me to do their weddings. Among them: 1) my uncle- who rather have a professional do it! 2) my best friend from uni, whom i can't possibly repay in this lifetime 3) the above mentioned dear friend from HighSchool 4) etc,etc,etc.... Not that i am offended & never mind the fact that I start from RM3,500 for 4 hours, the truth is I would have done it for these people for FREE! errmmm maybe at COST heheh:) Well the moral of the story is, just ask! Father to Faith Chan En Qi, six months
It feels amazing & exhilarating to be a father. At the same time it comes with a great sense of responsibility, that this new, totally innocent life , is dependent on you to care for her.
Both my wife, Shirlyn, and I just cannot comprehend how much joy Faith has brought into our lives. At the same time, you also need to be extremely patient because the child has yet to understand her own actions.
As for being a hands-on daddy or should I say parent, the credit goes to Sgirlyn. Shirlyn has been amazing and very hands on, while i can only claim to be the "KING of BURPing Faith" in the family.
As new parents, we get as much guidance as we could from our on parents, who, like all first time grandparents, are extremely DOTING. In fact, so doting that we would appreciate some space to GROW with Faith & just RAISING Faith therough trial and hopefully little error!
Faith has certainly FIRE up our motivation and drive. While i am the Executive Director & Shirlyn the CFO of my company www.portraitone.com ,Faith is the "CHIEF MOTIVATION OFFICER".
In fact, being in a new stage of life, parenthood has reminded us that our business needs to move on & and it has spurred us to expand.”

What is panning? Dear Kid Chan, I am an amateur who has recently join an photography association in my area. I always hear the more season members using the world panning. I am too shy to ask, but what is panning? Kenneth, BC. Dear Kenneth, Panning means to move the camera smoothly to track an object so that it will remain in a particular spot of the viewfinder. May I also encouraged you to ask your fellow group members, should you have any questions. I think they will be more than happy to answer them.
